What We Believe

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and the only authoritative Word of God that declares His design and plan for mankind.

    ( Timothy 3:15-16)

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

    (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19).

  • We believe every person can have restored fellowship with God through 'salvation' (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). Salvation comes through the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repentance of sin.

    (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; John 14:6)

  • We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

    (Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25)

  • We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

    (Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:18-19; John 14:6)

  • We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a unique life-changing experience, accompanied by the evidence of speaking in tongues, following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. We believe that every Christian can be baptized in the Holy Spirit and is given special gifts that help minister to the Body of Christ and the unbeliever.

    (Romans 12, and 1 Corinthians 12)

  • We believe the church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe “the church” is the body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

    (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15)

  • We believe sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ-like.

    (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Philippians 3:12-16)

  • We believe in divine healing of the sick which is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).

    (Isaiah 53:5, James 5:16, Psalm 103:3)

  • We believe in worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth, with all of our hearts and with all of the means revealed in the Bible, showing our love with an expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, joy, and praise.

    (Psalm 134, 136, 147, 149, 150)

  • We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

    (Acts 1:10, 11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)

  • We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and family commitment. We promote biblical family values.

    (Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5 Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24)
